Therafoam™ Lining Foam

Used to line the inside of a brace that is to be in contact with the skin to give greater comfort to the patient.  When a brace is being formed of Polypropylene or a similar sheet product, the Therafoam™ may be formed around the positive casting first, and then the rigid sheet will be formed around the Therafoam™.  This ensures good adhesion of the foam to the sheet material.  Therafoam™ is a cross-linked, closed cell Polyethylene Foam, that has an EVA additive which promotes softness. Therafoam-4™ has a density of four pounds per cubic foot while Therafoam-10™ has a density of ten pounds per cubic foot.
